eBay is running a 1-day promotion for sellers. Insertion fees for Auction-Style and Fixed Price listings will be 15 cents on December 27, 2006, and includes eBay.com, eBay Canada and eBay Motors - Parts & Accessories listings only.eBay typically runs a promotion in North America the day after Christmas to inflate its listings, but surprised sellers this year by running it two days after Christmas.

ELECTRIC ice shavers, foot spas, photo frames, milk frothers and tea towels are among the most unwanted Christmas gifts that will be peddled online.
More than a million Australians are expected to sell their undesirable Christmas presents on the internet, according to research by online auction site eBay.
And bargain hunters are beating the Boxing Day crowds and reaping even bigger discounts by e-shopping.
Australians spent $952 million on useless presents this festive season – 10 per cent of the total spent on Christmas gifts, eBay claimed.

When the stuff didn't sell even after he'd marked it down twice, he relegated it to the second floor of his booming business. The memory of the Depression wouldn't let him throw it away.
