Cramer: Gmarket is the next eBay

Cramer said that Internet companies should be considered not for value but for growth. Yesterday, Cramer was discussing the next eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) as a stock called Gmarket Inc. EBay Partners With FreeFlow To Build Out B-To-B Inventory Services

EBay has partnered with asset management vendor FreeFlow to add pre- and post-auction services for companies looking to sell unwanted inventory.

Under the deal announced Tuesday, FreeFlow will help eBay expand its business-to-business offerings to companies looking to get rid of excess, aging, returned, and refurbished inventory. EBay's business to business services, called the Private Marketplace, are separate from the online auctioneer's consumer services. Businesses are provided their own secure site for bargaining with buyers.

For pre-auction sales, FreeFlow would provide market intelligence for finding resellers, determining pricing, and developing auction strategies. Post-auction services include collections and settlement, shipping, and performance reporting. Financial terms of the partnership weren't disclosed.

Pink Zunes spotted on eBay

Although the Zune isn’t exactly the hottest property on the planet at this point of time, it is the perfect example of what a different shade of color can do to boost its image. Head honchos at Microsoft has been feeling extra generous, making only a hundred of special pink colored Zunes to be given to the members of the Microsoft Zune team. Unfortunately, this gesture of kindness is not appreciated by some as auctions on eBay featuring this extremely limited edition Zune has already been up for some time.

You know what the biggest insult would be? The Zune team member using proceeds from this auction to finance his/her purchase of a spanking new iPod. The possibility is there, but he/she must be really hard up for money this Christmas since it meant giving up a piece of tech history for so paltry an amount. I suppose you can’t really argue with a free economy, but forking out $920 for a pink Zune just doesn’t make sense. You would think that Microsoft would catch on with this idea and start to release pink Zunes commercially in order to counter such a move.

Planning to eBay those unwanted Xmas gifts? Think again

Women in their 20s from the South East are most likely to take umbrage at seeing their lovingly-selected gifts up for auction, though in the North East the majority of the population (88 per cent) will take offence.
The survey of 431 people comes from The London Gift Consultancy, and shows that only 1.6 per cent of respondents would be happy to see their gifts sold on, while 7.2 per cent would be "broken hearted".

Teenagers seem to be the age group most easily upset, but sulking is more-or-less what teenagers are for. Middle-aged men know that Christmas isn't about gifts, it's about getting a snog at the office party, so are least likely to be upset at seeing their gifts online.
